Sample Programme No. 4: Civil Ceremony

This is an example of a more substantial programme of music for a civil wedding ceremony, with harp, flute and singer.  There are many combinations of instruments and singers which could be used although it is recommended to always include an accompaniment instrument such as harp or guitar. This programme contains traditional Irish and light classical pieces:

Gathering:              Various instrumentals

Entrance:               Gabriel’s Oboe                                      composed by E. Morricone

After Vows:            She Moved Through the Fair (sung)    traditional

Register:                Down by the Sally Gardens (sung)       traditional

Recessional:          Carolan’s Concerto                               composed by T. Ó Carolan
